It wasn't too heavy, but had enough padding to protect the Kindle. I like the way the "grip" feels on the sides of the the cover.I ordered this in the "infinity pool" color. I am actually sending it back because the actual color looked a lot darker than the image on the website. It looks like a dark turquoise color, and I was expecting a sea-foam green from the way the pictures looked.
