Star Gleam City was once the destination for thousands of immigrants from the eastern lands looking for a promising future. But the only promise the city holds now is of oppression and death as the opportunities for a better life are long since past.
The city is now divided by a great wall. On one side, the working class toils under the brutal reign of The Fly Guild, headed up by a common criminal by the name of Fist, while on the other side, the wealthy enjoy the safety and protection of Lord Wren and his soldiers. An uneasy truce exists between the two as both Wren and Fist profit from the illicit trade that goes on between both sides.
But when Quinton, a young member of the guild, secretly stabs Wren’s son in an act of revenge, the truce is broken and the city is plunged into violence as both sides fight for control.
Now Quinton is on the run from both the guild and Wren’s soldiers, longing to be free of his indentured life of crime. As both sides close in on his identity as the attacker, Quinton must make a desperate attempt to break free of the city and the guild once and for all.

An exciting fantasy tale this mixes the best elements of Ladyhawke, Dungeons and Dragons and Prince of Persia. I love the world the author has created, especially the background and rituals of the guild. The whole thing feels real and well thought out. Quinton is a tough guy and he'll go further and push harder than you can ever possibly imagine. Like all classic anti-heroes, Quinton always tries to avoid trouble yet in pretty much every chapter it seems to find him!
An exciting, well written and violent tale of fantasy and adventure.

This was the first book that I bought for my new Kindle. I couldn't put it down. I read it in a day. It was an excellent adventure story and I look forward to seeing more from this author. Thanks for the great read!

Caught by the Fly Guild and forced to join up, Quinton finds his talents well suited to his new life. But he wants nothing more than to leave the cruel organisation of the Fly Guild, but the only way out is death.
The Fly Guild is an action packed read with a great character that is far from perfect. The characterisation was really interesting as we follow the hero's journey. The story will immerse you in the locations and paint a vivid picture of the humble beginnings of Quinton and the ravages of poverty and corruption. A good read that I would recommend.
