This case is no exception. Watch the attached video to see why it is particularly well suited for the Kindle Touch. Some notes: - I chose the flip-style case so I could use it as an easel for my Kindle. It does that job admirably. There are even small rubber strips along the bottom edges for added traction. - The "trick" to comfortably holding the case using the hand strap is to only insert your fingers, not your whole hand. For added security put two in the loop and leave two out. - There were no instructions and I don't believe any are needed. - The case, while providing significant protection does not add noticeable bulk. - The interior slot is nice and it would be nicer still if it was 1/2" longer so it could hold 3x5 cards. - Along those same lines, a pen... For some reason they stopped making it once the K3 came out, so I was very excited to see this offered for the K4, even though it's from a different manufacturer. Overall, I really like the case, but there are just a couple design features that make it less than perfect. The first is the hand strap on the back. This is a vertical case and the strap is sewn on vertically, which means you slide your hand in horizontally. To utilize this strap and be able to read, your wrist would have to be bent at an almost 90 degree angle...hardly comfortable. If you really want to use the strap you could always adjust the screen rotation on your Kindle to horizontal, but I'm not going to do that. Seems like the strap is kind of pointless and just adds bulk. My other minor issue is with the thin elastic strap that holds the front cover closed. The M-Edge case had it attached to the back of the... Read more ![]() The manufacturer commented on this review( What's this?) This is NOT an easel type case. It will not stand on its own unless you lay it on a surface it can grip. If you're in bed and lay it on the covers, it works great. This is what I do when I get tired if holding it. Don't set it on a glass table and expect it to stand on its own. 2. You will not be able to read comfortably with your entire hand stuck inside the "handle". I read with my index and middle finger tucked into the "handle" and my pinky finger underneath the Kindle. When one hand gets tired, I switch hands. When both hands need a break, I rest the Kindle on my chest. I used the elastic strap once. I suppose it would be handy when you're traveling, but around the house it just becomes a nuisance. Overall this is a very nice, although overpriced (but aren't they all) case. I really like the vertical form factor... Read more |
